Vaccination Support to Large Oil and Gas Companies During COVID-19

Overview

International SOS provided vaccination support to large oil and gas companies in Alberta & British Columbia, Canada, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Problem

Several of our key oil and gas clients in Alberta and British Columbia, Canada, were concerned about the pandemic. They urgently needed support to their 11,000+ employees with their COVID-19 vaccination program roll-out. 

Solution

After listening to our clients' concerns, we were able to cooperate closely with the regional health authorities. We mobilized over 40 experienced licensed nurses and set up multiple vaccination points. Within a couple of weeks, we administered over 10,000 first vaccination doses. Our medical team was able to vaccinate the majority of our client's employees with their second dose. They brought the total to just over 20,000 doses and ensured an efficient roll-out program.

Impact

The impact was very positive. This successful program delivery enabled our clients to avert emergency and protect their workforce by reaching herd immunity. Consequently, they were able to ensure business continuity.
